CUBAN AMERICA

First conducted in 1991, the FIU Cuba Poll represents a major source of data on the Cuba-related attitudes of the Cuban American community in southern Florida. Co-sponsored by the Institute for Public Opinion Research and the Cuban Research Institute, the poll is designed to measure Cuban American opinions on US/Cuba policy and how these attitudes impact the South Florida area.

Conducted in March 2007, the latest FIU Cuba Poll provides a detailed portrait of the feelings of the Cuban community in South Florida, providing valuable data on their relationship with the island. Co-sponsored by the Cuba Study Group with support from the Brookings Institution, this year's poll presents the most complete picture to date of the attitudes of Cuban Americans towards Cuba as historic changes occur.
